Everyone Will Want The Best Seat in the House!
Of the reviews I have done on bidets and washlets so far, there was one thing I noticed – they only seemed to accommodate adults? Since I have children in my home this led me to delve a little deeper because I’m interested in having one of these handy hygiene fixtures in my bathroom.
It wasn’t long before I came across the Brondell S1000-EW Swash Advanced Bidet Seat which has been made for elongated toilets. The first thing that struck me about this model is that it actually replaces your current toilet seat rather than fitting over the top.
The next thing that struck me was how versatile this bidet seat is and although my primary reason for taking an interest was so the kids can have a good “wash” after going to the bathroom without the need for a shower, I soon figured out it’s perfect for all generations.
Since you’re here to find out if this bidet toilet seat will suit your needs, I’ll stop babbling on about me and get straight onto the review.
The manufacturer states this bidet seat can be installed in as little as one hour, even for people who are novices to DIY plumbing jobs. In fact, they have done their best to make sure you don’t have to get the professionals in, and so far I haven’t come across any complaints in that respect.
I like the design! It’s ergonomic and comes with a gentle close function which helps stop little fingers from becoming trapped, plus it has a quick release mechanism (just in case you’re in a hurry). As said, it is an elongated design which I find much nicer than the round shape purely from a comfort perspective.
There is a really handy little light at the back which tells you if the seat has power, if it’s in eco mode or what temperature the seat is (also useful for those trips to the bathroom at night in the dead of winter).
It comes in two colors, white or biscuit and you don’t have to worry about any additional controls sticking out the side of your toilet as it comes with its own hands-free remote control. Aside from space saving, the wireless remote control is very handy for people who find it hard to move about which is perfect if you have disabled or elderly people in your home.
Well, I can’t say enough about the features really. Sure, this isn’t the cheapest bidet toilet seat on the market but the manufacturer has really made sure you get that great spa feel when you’ve been to the bathroom.
It contains a ceramic core heater within the seat which provides you with warm water which, incidentally will not run out as there is no tank. Speaking of the water streams, in my opinion Brondell has done a fine job with the space they have to work with.
There are two nozzles made from stainless steel (adding to hygiene) and they are self sterilizing due to the silver oxide nano particle treatment. The nozzles deal with both the front and rear part of your nether regions however some women have complained the wand doesn’t reach quite far enough to the front for them.
This is more than likely due to the amount of space the manufacturer has and also how large you are. You can choose standard, oscillation or wide sprays which again, in my humble opinion will suit the needs of just about any person using it.
This model of bidet seat also offers both a warm air dryer with adjustable settings, and a deodorizer which is automatic and you can use any of these at the touch of a button.
Personally (and I want you to remember I’m not here to try and persuade you into anything), but if you have several generations in your home ranging from young to old and healthy to those who have “bathroom” or mobility issues, I think this bidet toilet seat is definitely worth further investigation.
In fact, you don’t even have to take my word for it. If you take a look at Amazon, there are a huge number of satisfied customers, and the price they have to offer won’t make you fall off your “seat” either!
